Dr. Ashley Burke

Dr. Ashley grew up in Davison and completed her undergraduate training right here in Flint at our University of Michigan campus where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology. As the oldest sibling of four, Dr. Ashley can relate to how eldest siblings are often referred to as “the extra parent”. Dr. Ashley has helped her brother and sisters all throughout her life, so it’s no surprise that she’s a natural-born leader. When asked “What do you think makes you a good pediatric dentist?“, she jokingly replied with “because I’m their size!!”. Dr. Ashley may be small in stature, but her skills are mighty! With endless amounts of empathy and compassion in addition to her extensive education and experience, pediatric dentistry was a perfect fit for Dr. Ashley.

Dr. Ashley earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2015 from the University of Detroit Mercy. After completing her doctorate degree, she completed two residencies: a one-year Advanced Dental Education program at the University of Detroit Mercy and St. John Providence Ascension Hospital in 2016. At the University of Michigan, she received her Master of Science in pediatric dentistry in 2018.

As a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Ashley belongs to numerous professional affiliations. She’s a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Additionally, she has served as a delegate for the Michigan Dental Association where she takes part in amending bylaws, managing government policies, and voting for trustees to represent Michigan and the nation as a whole. She is on staff in the department of surgery at both Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc and Hurley Medical Center in Flint, where she performs full mouth rehabilitation under general anesthesia.

Dr. Ashley has three children — Alliyha, Corbin, and Kennedy. She and her husband, a general dentist, met in dental school at Detroit Mercy and have been together for over 10 years. She loves to spend time with her kids, husband, and dog named Gus. Together, their family loves to hike, fish, spend time outside, and go to Disney World.
